I’m changing up the format here on This A Good Ass Game. I will still be giving you the weekly Clicks to Picks, but I can’t guarantee there will be a weekly column to accompany every post. There will still be posts other than the weekly Clicks to Picks, with all the jokes, analysis and predictions. The only difference will be that they won’t always be on Mondays as in the past.

To be honest, it has been extremely hard to continue to write about basketball with trouble looming not too far away as a result of the most recent elections. There is a lot of work to do and watching a Tuesday night game between two 17-30 teams seems absurd when every day freedoms continue to be denied to various segments of our population. #ballisnotlife

The last 3 months have only reinforced the need for this to be last season I cover basketball so intensely–I mean I’d like to think that I have a bigger purpose on this planet than to write jokes and talk about basketball.

There are only about 30 games (roughly six weeks) left in the NBA season. Some rosters may get shifted around during the trade deadline, but I highly doubt that any will affect the top three teams (Golden State, Cleveland, and San Antonio) tremendously. The bottom two playoff spots in both conferences are up for grabs (the differences between the #4 seed and the 8th seed out west are fairly negligible) but other than that you won’t see much movement post trade deadline.

In the meantime I will continue to lay low, and work on projects such as this one. Its getting crazy out there so stay safe and remember: just because they voted Trump doesn’t necessarily mean someone is a racist, and just because they didn’t vote Trump doesn’t necessarily mean someone is NOT a racist. Be well.
